Council depots are working environments where vehicles, people and offices share the same site. When Bayside Council built a new truck wash and garbage facility at its depot in Banksmeadow, Axis Align was engaged to deliver the air conditioning for the depot offices and the mechanical ventilation for the new facility.
Challenges Addressed
• Vehicle exhaust: Trucks operating inside the facility produce carbon monoxide, so ventilation had to respond to real air conditions.
• Two very different spaces: Office areas needed comfort cooling and heating, while the truck bay needed ventilation designed for vehicles.
• Council requirements: As with all government work, the project had to meet the tender brief and the documentation expected at handover.

Office air conditioning: Installation of a VRV system serving the depot offices.
