Navy base VRV and BMS
We have recently carried out work at the Navy's Defence bases at both Nowra and Creswell in Jervis Bay. Across four projects, Defence work has pushed our team to a new level of safety and quality, and it is work we are proud to have been selected for.
Challenges Addressed
• Defence safety and quality standards: Work on an active Defence base comes with strict requirements for safety, security and documentation.
• Critical equipment: A high-security communications room relies on CRAC units that need constant monitoring.
• Fire-affected heritage building: Mechanical equipment in a heritage building had been damaged by smoke after a fire.
• Around-the-clock occupancy: A fire station with sleeping quarters and truck bays needs ventilation and refrigerant safety suited to people living and working on site.
Project Scope
Defence Library and Gym, HMAS Creswell, Jervis Bay
Mechanical upgrade: Installation of Daikin VRV equipment and a Building Management System.
CRAC unit programming: Custom programming of the CRAC units serving a high-security communications room, with remote monitoring and alarming installed.
Heritage building rectification: We were then selected to work on a heritage building after a fire, where we rectified smoke-damaged mechanical equipment.

Truck ventilation: Ventilation for the fire station's truck bays.
Refrigerant alarming: Refrigerant leak alarming for the sleeping quarters.
